Little Beach, Where A Lot Happens

Somewhere in this world, is a place called Little Beach. I will not tell you where it is. It is up to you to find it... and the only way to get there is by realizing you are already there.

Every Sunday, people of all ages, all skin colors, from all over the world, gather around a drum circle just before sunset on a little beach in paradise. If you ever get the chance to go, I urge you to climb over that hill and see what you will find. Make sure you go with grace in your heart and flowers in your hair. You will be greeted by the sound of drums. The occasional flute hits you like a cloud of smoke as it soars softly through the air. Little Beach is a place where you can be in the midst of things that calm your heart, while filling your senses with sights, sounds and simplicity. You are completely left at peace here, out of sight, out of mind. At Little Beach, life is different, it is a place where the people run around wildly in the sunshine and swim freely in the sea. The human spirit needs places like Little Beach, where nature has not yet been rearranged by the hand of man. No matter what your differences are with the people sitting next to you, you all end up here for a reason and you all watch the same sunset.

I remember my first time on Little Beach, I was standing at the edge of the waters, hugging my toes to the sand. Every wave kissed the shoreline as I waved goodbye to the sun. The music of the drums started to slow and soften and eventually came to a stop. I felt like a tiny miniscule point on the planet. And at that moment I stood there in silence, looked up at the sky and told myself how amazing life is. I looked around at all the beauty that surrounded me, and I remember how happy that made me. Then I realized how absolutely perfect everything was and I tilted my head back and laughed at the sky.

The sound of drums slowly returned, bringing music to my ears, rousing me from my reflection. The beat of the drums is like a moral law here. It gives the universe soul. Your mind grows wings and your imagination takes flight. Just when you think the beach couldn't get livelier, the sun goes down. Fire throwers and hula hoop dancers emerge from the woods, covered in paint and ready to put on a haunting performance. When one performer's fire goes out, there's always another ready to light the way. Nothing can dim the light that burns within this hidden beach. Constant illumination beams down from the sparks within the people and the moon that smiles back at us.

Every visit to Little Beach brings new souls into your life. You cross paths with specific people who end up creating a phenomenon of connections you discover between the people you already know and strangers you have yet to meet. Each character is placed there, perhaps by coincidence, perhaps not, to guide you through your journey. And each one is full of life and dreams, trying to make their way in the world. There's a forever young mentality that drenches the minds of all who set foot here. And when you're finally ready to leave the beach behind, you realize it's the adventure of the unknown that's the best way to learn. When I left for the first time, I learned we have all been placed on this earth for a reason: to discover our own path. And we will NEVER be happy if we live someone else's idea of life.

"Trust me, it's paradise. This is where the hungry come to feed. For mine is a generation that circles the globe and searches for something we haven't tried before. So never refuse an invitation, never resist the unfamiliar, never fail to be polite and never outstay the welcome. Just keep your mind open and suck in the experience. And if it hurts, you know what? It's probably worth it." - The Beach
