Frolicking the Flower Fields

When you work 6 days in a row after a weekend spent drinking, dancing, and soaking up the desert sun at Coachella, it's hard to force yourself out of bed. Yesterday, I finally decided to spend a couple of hours at one of nature's wonders. Carlsbad's Flower Fields take you out of the ordinary and into a land full of colors! And what better way to welcome spring than with millions of blooming flowers covering acres of land that overlook the Pacific Ocean?!? This dazzling rainbow of beautiful ranunculus flowers set on a hillside on the California coastline makes for the perfect photo opp, and we definitely took advantage!

A special thanks to my always fabulous photog, Gregory Micheal!

The Desert Wild

If Palm Springs wasn't on your itinerary these past two weekends, then you most definitely missed out on the most epic festival! While Calvin Harris blew our minds with out-of-control bass lines and Skrillex wrapped up the night with never-before-heard tracks, Lana Del Ray, Lorde, and Ellie Goulding had me singing along to every track during their strangely magnetic performances. Every night, an organized panic would sweep through the grounds of Coachella as one stage called to the desert wild and another would swell by the minute as the crowd would be lured by the acts' ability to use beat-driven sounds to hit a range of emotions.

Our weekend at Coachella, the sun was hot and the nights were cold, as is often the case in the desert, and the wind was just as turnt up as the crowds. Dust storms aside, this jam-packed outdoor festival was as fun as always! Enormous glowing art installations lit up the sky at night as festival goers took street style to the next level. But I have to be honest, it was really the overall collab of hanging with old friends in their fest best looks, killer tunes and a night of boogying down in the desert that left me feening for another music festival. Coachella I heart you!
